"Pretty cool hike I was a little worried just because there’s a road going up and that kinda kills the experience for me but that roads crazy so if I saw any vehicles I was just impressed! Otherwise really cool views had a great time !" — walkerwilliams • Apr 19, 2025

"Beautiful hike. Most all of the creeks have dried up with the exception of one. Started early and finished before it got hot. My 13-year-old daughter joined TwoMuttz and me for a Father's Day hike." — TwoMuttz • Jun 15, 2024

"Research indicated this hike is not meant for the Two Muttz so we went muttless on this trip. We started at the base of Gold Mountain Road and took the Jeep road up to the top. The road is extremely rocky and is definitely not dog friendly. Beautiful views throughout the hike to the top." — TwoMuttz • May 14, 2024

"Parked on Polique Canyon Road where the PCT intersects. There is no signage, but it is where the second set of asphalt ends. The GPS coordinates are 34.17.1N and 116.55.2 W. Go west on the PCT trail for 2.25 miles and then walk up the ravine. (A big thanks to Mike Teeples for putting these direction in his notes as I never would have found the ravine if not for his guidance. His directions were spot on). Saw several PCT thru hikers. "Took Forest Road 3N69 to reach both peaks. Stopped by Peak 7893 on the way up. Before reaching Gold Mountain, I left the road and did a short cross country hike to the summit. Great views from both summits. Experienced many more 4WD vehicles on the way down, since they finally figured out how to get past the locked gate." — MikeTeeples • Sep 16, 2023
