It was a tough one. Despite being about 1500m tall it was quite an experience. We started at 4am and walked around Ice Lake making a few stream crossings along the way. After that followed a bushwhack which led to open slopes with snow. We had a bit of a longer break and the guide figured it would be about an hour to summit. It got windier as we got higher. We got to a shoulder below the summit and had to cross a final snow field. The wind was really strong here and at times we would get blasted with ice pellets at over 100km/h. Margaret decided to hold off on summiting. The guide and I continued to the summit. The wind was intense. It really pushed us around and we had to take shelter a few times. The way back was windy also and the wind only gradually got less as we descended.
