After doing a snow climb of Griffith Peak via Mazie Canyon, we bagged Cathedral Rock on the way down. The route is snow-free until you get to the last couple of switchbacks in Mazie Canyon. There is quite a bit of avalanche destruction across the switchbacks. The trailhead doesn't open until Memorial Day.
