What a great day! Peak 4 of Fire Ridge traverse. I had been across most of this ridge, but had not been all the way out to Bighorn Peak. I had my doubts I could do it on such a short day, but I made it back to the Jeep before I needed a headlamp! Started later than I wanted, at 8am. Made the rough trek across the ridge much faster than I like to hike. The views are outstanding. I recommend doing this in spring when the days are longer, so you can take your time & enjoy. This is one of my favorite hikes in southern NV. Trip total is for all 4 peaks along the ridge.
