"8/26/24: After spending much of the day driving back into Blanding and Monticello for supplies in prep for our Lake Powell houseboat trip, there was only enough time to do one of the Ears. Chose the West because of slightly easier access as Beth waited at the truck. There’s a somewhat maintained trail the entire way which begins at the saddle and climbs steeply up and around the east cliff face of Point 8908 (Class 2+). From there it’s an easy stroll down to the high saddle of the true summit and multiple social trails lead up to the summit. I’m surprised this is a Peakery first ascent seeing as how this is such an iconic peak for this part of Utah. (1.6/570)" — LoneWolf • Aug 26, 2024
