"Started in the rain. Climbed the crux ridges with wet rock. Got to false summit and then clouds cleared and we could see the cairn on the real summit and it looked spicey to get there. Bagged it in the sun with no wind. Descended the south side then down the scree slope that was mostly snow and great glissading. Some fun wandering through bush to get to trail. 7 and half hours with rain on exit then sun for a dip in the hot spring. This was a 4am start in Edmonton and back to Edmonton for 8pm. With Rob Maiman. Cairn but no register...although there was snow so possible it could have been buried." — alexjoseph • Jun 16, 2018
"Interesting scramble on generally solid rock (where it needs to be). I would rate it on the easier side of "difficult".
I wanted to combine it with O'Hagan, but my partner (for whom it was a first real scramble) thought he had enough :-)" — Taras • Jul 29, 2017
"First attempt on Mt Utopia. It was a drive up to Edmonton on Sat evening. Leave Edmonton at 4am solo to bag Utopia. It was sprinkling, then whiteout and hit snow after the breaking out of trees. First main crux was turned around in knee deep unconsolidated snow. Bag in the hot spring to soak my sorrows. Then back to Edmonton and all the way back to Calgary that night. 16 hrs of driving in 24 hrs for a snowed out attempt on Utopia...I must be nuts!

"Summit on August 7th, had to bivy up top due to some crazy fog/clouds, weather mad for a difficult time, worried a few folks, but made it down safely the next day, thank God. Amazing views." — mountaindad • Aug 7, 2016
