"From Refugio de Vegarredonda. On a Waymark Holidays trip led by Tony Rogers. We left the refugio in unpromising conditions of drizzle and low cloud walking south on the good track to Boca del Jou Santu. We went along the base of cliffs on the west side of the western part of Jou Santu. It was clear we should have climbed above these cliffs immediately on leaving Boca del Jou Santu. We returned, but found a way through the cliffs (before getting back to Boca). At the top we found the cairned track we should have been on. By now the weather had improved considerably. Tony led us upwards in a gully to the left of the one going to Hda Sta Maria. This was clearly wrong. Another member of the party and I saw a cairn on the skyline to the south and this was the way we should have gone. We followed a ledge rising upwards quite gently to the cairn and then scrambled upwards fairly easily to the col between Torre de Enmedio and Torre de la Horcada. We climbed to the summit of Torre de Enmedio and returned to the col. Some of us climbed Torre de la Horcada before returning to Refugio de Vegarredonda." — peter43 • Sep 4, 1994
