"I accessed the southern tip of The Doughboy bush using the unformed legal roadline from Johnston Road to cross a couple of farm paddocks. The farmer was a bit concerned that I may be an inspector from a Government/Regional Council agency but relaxed when I assured him that I was only there to climb the hill.
The walk up to the top from the edge of the paddocks is all through untracked bush. The going varies but in places toward the bottom there is a moderate amount of undergrowth such as fern species, supple jack and kiekie vines. There are no good views from the top which is bush clad but on the way up you get some views out over farmland from the edge of the western scarp." — glennj • Jan 25, 2013
