"100mph gusts when on The Needles made this more exhilarating than it might have otherwise been, but the lack of the expected accompanying rain and clear skys made it all the better. A picturesque landscape and an impressive memorial to Alfred Lord Tennyson at the top." — vygodski • Jan 3, 2018
"From Freshwater Bay, for the most part with party from HF Guest House, Freshwater Bay House. To the outskirts of Yarmouth and then along coastal path before ascending to summit of Headon Hill (also called Headon Warren) where there is a bronze age tumulus. Continued to New Battery and over West High Down and Tennyson Down back to starting point." — peter43 • May 1, 2016
"Although this "only just" qualifies as a "peak" by Peakery standards, at the age of 11 when I climbed this on a school trip, it certainly felt as challenging as the mountains I climb today! My teachers presented me with a "Perserverance Award" for pushing to the top despite being convinced I wouldn't make it." — RangersApprentice • Jun 4, 2003
