Got off to a late start today, so I kept it local. It was a chance to hit a few nearby summits that I didn’t get around to yet. But first, and since it was accessible from Powder Canyon, I made a quick revisit the Powder Canyon High Point. While returning to the Powder Canyon Trail from there, I scurried up the next peak over, which was Peak 1112. I didn’t see any markers on the summit, so I kept going to the other side on a narrow use trail. At a water tank, I took a right turn which elevated slightly to a high point before eventually descending to the Black Walnut Trail. I continued forming a loop by going left before connecting with the Nogales Trail. The Nogales Trail led back to the parking lot. I enjoyed the hike here, and not just because peaks were involved. I really liked the vast areas of native plant restoration (I’m guessing that the invasive plants were removed). It really looks nicer with the native plants only.
