"Started from outside of Green Valley Campground in a small parking area. From there, I walked through the campground. On the far end, the paved road leaves the campground and becomes Forest Road 2N13D. This road goes all the way to Crafts Peak. Before going there, I stopped off at Peak 7500 and Peak 7575. Both peaks are right off the road.
I climbed Peak 7500 first. Once reaching the top, I avoided climbing the class 4 boulders crowning the summit. Next, I went over to Peak 7575. Since there was a sea of thorny bushes between the peaks, I had to drop down to the road and find a route with less obstacles. When I found it, I headed on up. I really liked this peak because it was a great natural viewing platform in all directions.
With two peaks quickly out of the way, I then concentrated on Crafts Peak. I followed the forest road, which is rather scenic. When approaching the summit, strategically placed rock ducks help to guide the way through the bushes and boulders. After enjoying this outing and it’s directness, I had to wonder why the HPS doesn’t have this Green Valley route listed for this peak?" — MikeTeeples • Jul 18, 2020

I hiked on Forest Service Rd 2N19 from where it first intersects Green Valley Lake Rd. at about 6,500' elevation, about 1.1 mi northwest from Hwy 18. I hiked on for awhile, and missed the steep jeep ramp that comes up and branches north before the road is briefly split by a small island of pines and rejoins very shortly later. I didn't realize that my time on 2N19 would be so brief. I kept on hiking and hiking and found myself pretty far out on 2N19, not knowing for sure, but suspecting that I missed the turn off! When 2N19 joins the crest now east-southeast of Green Valley Lake, where it joins 2N13, and before it descends, there are some small peaklets on both sides of the dirt road. I soon left the road and went northeast down a canyon and up and around a small, rocky knob, and up to a bouldery peak. I tried in vain to see if I could find a benchmark, so I figured that I went too far for Green BM. There are several class 3 and Class 4 boulders, but I only went partially up a class 3 one. This would be Peak 7500. I then dipped southeast to a shallow, ceanothus filled draw and climbed and waded th..." — brianpowell • Apr 13, 2019
