"Spring day today, although strong gusts of wind are blowing, I'm going to La Sierra de Lugar to oxygenate my lungs and relax my mind. When I arrive I see a group of climbers who are going to do some route in the area, perhaps a ferrata. I follow in their footsteps although with different destinations, first the Pico 641m and then further south the Pico 625 m.
The sky is quite clear and the views around are interesting. Near a pine tree an owlet gets scared and flies away near me and from the top of the last peak an eagle flies below looking for a rabbit. I regain my strength under the midday sun contemplating the horizon and the silhouettes of other mountain ranges to which I give their respective names and which are the same ones that continue there after millions of years." — franciscobirruezo • Nov 12, 2023
"It has been about 60 years since there was such a rainy spring on the Spanish Mediterranean coast, even desert areas have become meadows full of flowers. In this particular mountain I have observed flowers that I had not seen before, also many insects such as butterflies and beetles and some ticks, these can transmit some serious diseases.
From these two mountains there is a good view of the surrounding mountains, but to reach the top of both you have to cross the scrub. Today there was hardly any breeze and the morning was quite sunny." — franciscobirruezo • May 7, 2022
"I come from the Peak 613 m. and this is my next destination. I see that thinning forest works are being carried out in the area, this forces me to jump many trunks and dodge branches." — franciscobirruezo • Feb 8, 2019
"We were with friends today to go hiking. Sharing a beer in the middle of the mountain after exercice is a good therapy for stress. We have also found some fossil, which we can say is a photo with millions of years. In some form the mountains are the last refuges of The Nature and when you approach them you return to the origin." — franciscobirruezo • Sep 24, 2017
