"I revisited these impressive hills in the Menifee area. Impressive, at least, by Inland Empire standards. On my last visit, I climbed Peak 2082 before forming a loop to the south and going over two more peaks. This time I climbed Peak 2082 and climbed two more peaks to the north, while forming a different loop. Peak 2082 was too close by for me to ignore, so I topped out on it just to make it official, and to take a few photos of the big cross on top. I then looked to Peak 2141 to the north, which is the most impressive of the bunch. A dirt road connects all the summits, making trail finding rather unnecessary. A spur road goes steeply up the side of Peak 2141, though. With commanding views from the summit and Mount Brannon left to conquer, I continued on to its nearby summit. After Mount Brannon, the road narrowed on the way down before widening and then eventually paralleling Menifee Road. To complete the loop, I walked along the side of Meniffe Road back to the parking area near Aldergate Park." — MikeTeeples • Dec 22, 2019
"Parked at Aldergate Park near the intersection of Menifee Rd and Aldergate. Followed the sidewalk past the dog park to the start of the trail next to Menifee Road (AKA: The Menifee Cross Trail).. The trail starts out as a dirt road which continues along the base of the hills. Instead of staying on the dirt road, I picked up a trail that rose to the ridge line. From there, I used the big white cross as my reference point.
I reached the big cross on top of Peak 2082 in about 2 miles. I continued on to Peak 1850 and Peak 1732 down the declining ridge. After the third summit I did a x-country descent to the dirt road below. I turned left and completed a loop hike when returning to the park." — MikeTeeples • Jan 13, 2019
