"Drove from Wodonga out to Tallangatta Valley and made my way around to Mount Benambra VK3/VE-041. parked at the Fire Watcher's Hut and walked to the summit before setting up a little lower down the track to make 12 contacts. Packed up, returned to teh car and drove down along the entry route before heading around to teh saddle between Mt Cravensville and Peak 1390 m VK3/VE058 to park. Walked up through the scrub to reach the SOTA summit to set up, making 7 contacts. packed up, returned to the car and drove around to the NW side of Peak 1290 m to park. Walked up to the summit to set up and made 15 contacts. packed up, returned tot eh car and drove around to below Peak 1262 m VK3/VE-079. Parked and walked up through the old logging coupe to the summit and made 9 contacts. "I was again based in Wodonga for a few days. Drove out to Dartmouth and up the access road to the parking area at Mount Benambra. I walked up to the summit and set up nearby to activate VK3/VE-041, making 10 contacts. I returned to the car and drove around to the saddle south of Mount Cravensville and walked through the scrub up to Peak 1390 m. I set up in a spot with sufficient space and activated VK3/VE-058. I returned tot eh car and drove out to Gibb Range Road, then to Koetong and to Mount Lawson car park. I walked up to the summit and set up nearby to activate VK3/VE-129, making 11 contacts. I packed up, returned to the car and drove back to the Murray Valley Highway and headed back to Wodonga." — peterfreeman • Oct 10, 2018
"Drove from Wodonga to Dartmouth and then to Mount Benambra. Parked at the Fire Watcher's Hut and walked to the summit. Set up the radio gear and activated Mount Benambra VK3/VE-041, making 24 contacts. Packed up and returned to the car. Drove around to teh saddle below Mount Cravensville to park. Walked up through the scrub to the high point of Peak 1390 m to set up the radio gear. In SOTA, the peak is known as Mt Cravensville Range VK3/VE-058. I made 22 contacts.
