"A friend heard that John and I had visited Pt 1074m and wanted to have a look too so three of us went back but climbed and descended by different routes this time. We used the Croesus track to access the spine of the Paparoa Range this time and circled back to Pt 1074m and then descended in to Garden Gully to reaccess the Croesus track to head out to the road end. "Hutty came with me. We started at the Moonlight track carpark at Andersons Flat and headed up the Moonlight track as far as the toe of the ridge on the TR of the Moonlight before the Left Hand Branch comes in. We followed this ridge up to Point 1074m. The route was better than expected and may have been an historic gold miners route. There was light snow on the tops when we got there. The summit is marked with an iron pipe in the ground with a pick head sitting in it." — glennj • Sep 12, 2012
