"Started just after noon. Sunny and hot. Exposed almost the entire way. Really nice mountain - trail winds nicely around canyons on its way up, crosses rockfalls, reminds me a little bit of San Antonio in Los Angeles. Ran out of water - as I underestimated the heat. Chugged 36 oz of Gatorade at the bottom, could have had more. Really nice urban mountain, and one of about 4 mountains in Texas of any size not on private land. " — fish • Oct 22, 2020
"This was a nice quick hike with some great views of the El Paso area and beyond. I was alone at the summit after seeing one person running down. More people were coming up as I was descending. " — ZachTeich • Sep 3, 2016
"Hiked this trail on Saturday and decided to attempt Anthony's nose taking the ridge line from mundys gap. Due to high winds and experience level of hiking companion opted to re summit north Franklin instead. " — jouv236 • Apr 10, 2016
