"I've been up there twice in recent years and yes, I too slipped and fell down, not because of the mud ,as it was a brilliant day, no because of the slippery gum leaves. I no sooner got on my feet and there stood a young girl in front of me like an angel in distress and when she saw my bleeding thumb she got out some disinfectant and some tissues and after some encouraging words went on her way up as I continued my descend . Quite surprising as I had not seen a single soul all day. As for the scenery, yes it is great, but I think the Parks and Wildlife people or the Penguin Progress Assoc. ought to do something about improving the viewing from this mountain top. All it would need is a viewing platform and a few trees to be cut down and then at least one would be able to see the Penguin township and surrounding countryside. Actually, the whole of the dial range, which is a fantastic bit of wilderness right on the coastline, ought to be developed to its max. tourist potential by providing better vehicle access." — jim-van-ommen • Jan 7, 2013
