"Completed a loop hike to include three summit (2 being HPS summits). First, I ascended the Mount Emma trail. I was surprised that it was a well maintained trail, due to its light usage. I reached Mount Emma first. Then, I followed the firebreak on the ridge to reach Peak 5080 and then Old Mount Emma. The trail descends to Mt Emma Road from there, where I endured the odd glances by passing cars as I walked along the shoulder for 1.5 miles." — MikeTeeples • May 3, 2020
"From the dirt lot at Angeles Forest Hwy (N3) & Mount Emma Road, ten of us hiked for 2.5 hours on a roller coaster trail, 2.6 miles to the peak. It took about 2 hours to return. A couple sections were very, very steep +/- 40 degrees. " — thesearcherextraordinaire • Mar 7, 2020
"Today's hike was Emma, Old Emma and Cole Point, in that order. This was an HPS hike led by Peter and Ignacia Doggett. Only about 5 miles total, but tons of gain on the steep hills and we had super strong winds (maybe gusts up to 45mph?)." — HikerMark • Jan 25, 2015
"0.9 miles w/1,060' gain from Mt Emma Road mile-marker 2.19 to Mt Emma summit. 1st of 3-peak traverse to Emma-Peak 5080-Old Mt Emma on trails, road and x-country. Register was intact." — BradStemm • Nov 5, 2013
