"Weekend circular excursion with backpacks and sleeping bags through the mountains of the Cartagena coast to Cala Aguilar, a very demanding route that requires good physical shape because we carry the water and food necessary for the weekend as well like everything you need to rappel. Despite being in summer, the night in these places is cool and more typical of a desert climate. We try to avoid the hottest hours for the walks and for this reason we start the walk around 5 a.m.
The arrival at Cala Aguilar is endless, but crystal clear water awaits us down there and that encourages us. That same afternoon we entered the Cueva Neptuno of incredible beauty, but you have to rappel and then climb vertically to get out. Dinner and talk by the light of our lamps and a sky full of stars as a ceiling." — franciscobirruezo • Sep 10, 2022
"There is a wild combination of sea and mountain on this stretch of coast. Due to its proximity to the Mediterranean the slopes are strong and the ravines predominate. Large ships anchored before entering port. Today some bikes and riders going up, but only the brave." — franciscobirruezo • May 6, 2017
"Take the road RM-E21 towards El Portus village. Turn right to the lodge "El Almendrico". Follow the track to the green door, crossing to the other side and follow the main track. Moderate difficulty but good views of Tiñoso Cape" — franciscobirruezo • Jan 14, 2016
