"Summited via Moody Mountain Forest trail off of Beach Pond Rd. The trial is owned and maintained by the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests. The trail is well marked with yellow paint rectangles. The trail is not very steep compared to most New Hampshire mountains. A little over 2.5 mile round trip to the top and about 350' in elevation gain. At the top is a small rustic off grid cabin. The owners have posted a sign permitting use of the cabin and encourage users to sign the guest book. Really cool of the land owners. So everyone else keep the place clean so the rest of us do not use the privilege of using. The guestbook is signed often. I am shocked that I will be the first to log a summit of Moody. Great views from cabin of Winnipesaukee and the Belknaps. The true summit is behind the cabin via the trail to the right side of the cabin. Minimal bushwaking is required to reach the summit.
