"On the way home from a Bank Holiday weekend walking trip to Braemar, we detoured into Glen Isla, to walk up this Corbett. It is a short walk of just over an hour to the summit from the roadhead. It was a pleasant day at first, but a rain shower blew in near the summit, but soon cleared. We followed a path from Auchaven to a col at 610m and then walked steeply up to the summit, where there are good views to the north to Glas Maol, a munro and to the south to Mount Blair, another Corbett." — davidlong • May 30, 2011
"With James Bellarby. We left car near river at Auchavan (Glen Isla) and went along a track from Auchavan. Near the end of the track we followed a fence to Monamenach. The summit is at a fence junction (no cairn). Slight rain and it was cloudy." — peter43 • Jun 8, 1986
