Access to these remote hills is commonly by train to Corrour or from car parking at Rannoch. Got the idea of trying something different courtesy of Steven Fallons excellent site where he champions a Chno Dearg etc bike’n’hike https://www.stevenfallon.co.uk/ossian-beinn-na-lap-to-chno-dearg.html The excellent estate tracks are indeed perfect for cycling, even in their own right. "Cairngorm Club overnight meet. With several fellow club members. We departed from near Rannoch Station at 19:30 (heavy shower) and went up the south ridge of Carn Dearg, reaching the summit at 22:05. We had been in mist but it was now clear. We went on to Sgor Gaibhre. I went on to Sgor Choinnich (misty) with two members. We went down to the corner of forest near the east end of Loch Ossian, arriving there at 00:35, and stayed there for a few hours." — peter43 • Jun 23, 1984
