"Hiked McCoy Mountain via AllTrails "McCoy Mountain" trail. See link below. The trailhead is a snowmobile road, but the parking area is not clear. Properties on either side of the snowmobile trail have many "no parking" and "no trespassing" signs at the beginning of their driveways. There is plenty of shoulder space the side of the Mountain Road to park where snowplows push snow during the winter. I was able to park without incident; however, it would likely be better to park down at Town Forest parking lot and have a little longer hike. Do not take the first right off of the snowmobile trail if you are using all trails unless you want to bushwhack up a ledge. Walking a quarter mile further will bring you to another trail to the right that will take you to the top. Mostly wooded summit with view likely only good during early spring of late fall. Not a bad walk in the woods, but there are better hikes in the area. Bugs were no existent.

"Hiked in off Old Mountain Rd and found some old logging trails that led a little ways up the side. Bushwhacked up the cliffs to the summit. Nice views of Fort Mountain from some of the ledges. Partially wooded summit." — Selrahc2nd • Nov 14, 2013
