"Epic Hewlett family trip. Bush whacking, climbing up steep slopes, camping on the approach Sat night and to the top Sunday morning. Long and steep climb back down towards Active Creek and Porcupine Creek Rd." — andrewhewlett • Aug 31, 2014
"Came in the long way through the logging road on Porcupine Creek. Climbed up with my brother John via the North East side after camping on an old clear cut on the approach. Descended via Active Creek. This was an epic / historic trip for us as this peak is named after our father Dr. Cecil George Hewlett. He did geological survey in the area in the 50's but was killed in a climbing accident near Invermere B.C. We also stayed at the "Palace Hotel" in Ymir where our parents stayed many years ago. - Andrew Hewlett" — andrewhewlett • Aug 18, 2007
