"My wife and I made a side trip while hiking in the West Branch Preserve to hike up Haskell Hill. We followed the Tower Road, a gravel and dirt road, to the top. There isn't a sign for it, but it is easy to find off North Mountain Road. There is a chain across the road entrance, probably to discourage ATV use, but there aren't any No Trespassing signs. The incline is very steady. There are two communications towers at the summit; the larger one is owned by US Cellular. The summit has no views, but there are some pretty glimpses through the trees looking toward the east at some points. The road up has some very large oaks and white pines.
At one time, the Maine Forest Service had an observation tower at the summit (placed back when Haskell Hill was called Mountain Hill). It was removed in the 1990s and was bought and moved by a private landowner elsewhere a few years ago. " — Badgerinmaine • Oct 12, 2020
