"My brother, some friends, and I decided to try and squeeze in a quick rainy day hike before dark. We headed up the north fork road to the junction with the spur 10 road and parked there. We followed dirt roads for about a mile to get onto the ridge just south of the summit. From the end of a short spur road on the top of the ridge there was a decent path worn in following the ridgeline to the summit. At the top we were rewarded with a bit of a view to the east. We made it back to the road as it was getting dark and walked the road back to the car in the dark. Nothing too eventful but it was a destination we knew we would have no problem reaching with the limited daylight we had. It's worth noting this is on Hancock Timber property and requires a permit." — Al-Rashid • Jan 23, 2013
