"A grey day with low cloud and wind for the first nine summits - cleared for Catstye Cam and Birkhouse Moor. Hard, icy snow on upper part of Swirral Edge. Despite the cloud stayed mostly dry. Home to Susan by 3.00pm." — johnandsue4fun • Jan 22, 2022
"This peak was climbed as part of a traverse of "The Dodds" group of hills. The traverse takes in the higher neighbouring peaks of Great Dodd and Stybarrow Dodd, the area is characterised by sweeping broad grassy ridges and rocky outcrops. White Stones is best approached from the east via Glencoyne Head. Our walk took us along the ridge to Hart Side and Birkett Fell, then dropping steeply down to Dowthwaite Head." — davidlong • Jun 18, 2013
