"Wanted to check out a different approach. Even though there was some snow free slopes I managed stay in the snow and snowshoe the entire way. Breaking trail always lots of fun." — Randy • Mar 19, 2020
"Part of Deer Ridge - Sibbald Ridge - Grouse Ridge - Eagle Hill traverse.
Good training in shoulder season
Alternate traverse line from Grouse Ridge as it might/will be wet at the low area between them.
If to do it again, would start off the same parking in opposite direction with direct line to Sibbald Ridge, then follow as done it and finishing with Deer Ridge." — alexp • Dec 10, 2017
"I combined this one with deer ridge for more of a challenge and to get two peaks. Plus I prefer loops when possible. The summit is shared with Stoney Indian Reserve and divide with a fence. The high point by only a foot or so is on the reserve. I was hoping for a view of lake chiniki but there was none. Still some nice views to the west and south. And on a side note that early large snow fall back in the fall. Sept or oct it was, when the leaves were still green has wreaked havoc on a lot of the aspen snapping them in halve from the weight of the snow. So lots of downed trees across the trails. Not just here but all areas of that snowfall. Any way great day clear skys and beautiful area!" — Randy • Feb 22, 2015
