"There is parking on the right hand side of the road right before the water tower. We missed it and ended up going up the rough part of the road and parking at the kiosk. I would recomend parking at the water tower it's not that much farther but the road up to the kiosk is very rough. The hike is very steep with no level places. The bonus of a beautiful waterfall at the start. Takes about an hour to reach the AT the lookout is to the left." — mt-biking-grandma • Jul 9, 2023
"Trailrun up the wet grassy ski trails and then over to the firetower. Perfect crystal clear viz from the top. Forgot how tall this tower feels, a 4000 footer with the tower? Ran down the Long Trail toward Stratton Pond but veered right onto a grassy snowmobile superhighway, then Catamount Trail (I think?). Great way to cap off a week of running some Vermont ski areas that I grew up skiing. " — scott • Jun 22, 2023
"Trailrun up the Long Trail. Slippery rocks & mud the whole way. Amazing to think it's been 30 years since I was last on this trail during a thru-hike with friends. Trail is still the same tortuous footing. Only difference was the observation tower at the top of Bromley is gone." — scott • Jun 20, 2023
"A great hike with Haley and Murphy on a hot day at the end of May. Lot’s of people on the trail. Some from the gondola ride. Mostly dry trail with some muddy spots at the bottom. Bugs were out, but not too bad if you kept moving! Took the Appalachian Trail/ Long Trail route. Super views out of Fire Tower of Mt. Snow and Bromley. So good to be out!" — lfrancois • May 27, 2023
"Perfect conditions, clear and sunny day in the 20's with light wind. Trail was packed and frozen with an inch layer of fresh snow, no snowshoes needed. Gradual climb the whole way, not very technical. Icy climb up the firetower but worth it for the 360 views. 1800 foot elevation gain over 7.3 miles in 4.5 hours. " — gregoryskiba • Feb 11, 2023
