Summit Cape Town's big 3... Devil's Peak, Table Mountain (Maclear's Beacon), and Lion's Head. Famously done in an annual 50km running race called "The Three Peaks Challenge". From Greenmarket Square in Cape Town, runners scramble up Devil's Peak, Table Mountain (Maclear's Beacon via Platteklip Gorge), and Lion's Head, returning to Greenmarket Square after each peak. "What a great morning out. Meeting some new people, just relaxing and resetting for the week ahead.
Got caught in a sudden thunder storm towards the end of the hike, which is very unlikely in the area. Some lightning strikes actually started a number of fires on the mountain. These have been raging 3 days later!" — Kortstok • Apr 27, 2024

"Made first attempt of a speed climb of India Venster. We found a lost preacher hiking into dangerous terrain so we aborted the speed climb attempt to help him. Weather made for dramatic photography. " — ethancox • Sep 10, 2022
"Vinnige op en af van Tafelbergpad parkeer area met Carin en Koos. Lastige NW-wind waai wolke oor piek toe ons halfpad op was. GPS letterlik deur die mis en wys ons het kort gedraai maar ons het foto by baken as bewys ons was bo. Te laat geslaap en uitsig gemis. Volgende keer." — dawidburger • Aug 7, 2022
"Ascended Blind Gully on the apostles to attain the summit of Table Mountain. Beautiful route with lot's of exposure on the top headwall. The bad weather made the hike interesting." — ethancox • Jul 9, 2022
