"I did kind of a bushwhack down from Snow Dome, near Snoqualmie Mtn to Cave Ridge. I went not down the high spur (where there is apparently a bit of a trail), but down the draw slightly west. Looking back, I wondered how I did that, but it was OK. Saw the various caves and descended down the normal trail shared with Guye Peak" — markgarrett • Oct 27, 2015
"Despite drinking the last of my water on Guye, couldn't resist a bit more exploring so headed up to Cave Ridge. Didn't see a single person the entire time, although there was a tent tucked in some trees on the summit. Def a prime campsite. Instead of heading back to the Guye-Cave Ridge saddle, decided to take a faint spur headed toward the Snoqualmie Mountain Trail. With some difficulty sniffed out a route piecing together crude footpaths that came out somewhere close to above the waterfall. Reminder for the future: this trail is some brutal, rocky vert. Got back to car and opened the door and literally 5 secs later it started to pour. Total time of "loop" 3:31, elevation gain 3,051 ft." — scott • Aug 1, 2014
"Started out with Snoqualmie Mtn in mind but changed plans after having to help the dog up in several places before we even reached the point where the Guye Peak trail branches off. So I decided to go as far as the waterfall, took some photos then turned around and headed to Cave Ridge. Because I didn't really know much about it, I was surprised to find how it got its name - I really didn't expect to find any caves let alone have the trail go right by one. Since I'm not really into spelunking I just took a few photos and moved on to the summit. Once there, we ate lunch then headed back down the rough, dusty trail." — mtnhiker • Aug 13, 2012
"Hearing rumors of the imminent demise of the phone booth, I had to come up and see it for myself before it was too late. Unfortunately due to low clouds and poor map reading, I ended up on Snoqualmie. On the way down from Snoqualmie, I picked out a route to get on to Cave Ridge without descending back to the trail junction. This worked well, and not long after crossing to Cave Ridge, I ran into the trail.
I followed the trail to the top. From there, I could see the phone booth. The phone booth has not been treated kindly by winter snows and vandals. It is falling appart. It could really use a visit from a US West repaid tech.
I used the trail for the descent. The trail still has a fair number of snow patches, which makes it a bit of a challenge to follow if you are not familiar with it. The snow should melt soon." — MangyMarmot • Jul 20, 2012
"The snow started right away on this one, and so the alpental lot was packed with skiers and boarders. There are plenty of snowshoe tracks to follow out here, but be sure to pay close attention to your postion and bearing, as these tracks go all over and can easily send you down the wrong path. Only saw 7 people on this beautiful and surprisingly warm December Saturday. Made it to the summit by 12:30 and after watching a group ski down from cave ridge, I decided I had time to make a quick detour to finally catch an up close and personal glimpse of the phone booth. It was unfortunately buried by snow, or has finally fallen over the edge.
The way down was nice, as I was able to slide nearly halfway and plunge-step the rest. Back to the car right at sundown, making for a very satisfying day." — Jeb • Dec 17, 2011
"I dropped down on Cave Ridge from the Snow Dome after hitting Snoqualmie Mountain Summit. Other than a few tricky boulder fields there are quite a few decent boot trails on eastern Snoqualmie, as well as Cave Ridge. I noticed something shiny on the eastern peak of Cave Ridge from Snoqualmie but on the way to get a closer look I got distracted filtering water for myself and Maverick at a small pond just below it, and headed to the summit only to learn when I returned home that it was a phone booth that someone hauled up as an art piece.
There is an excellent selection of camping spots on the ridge, and at least three entrances to some caves. There is plenty of exploring to draw me back here in the future. On to Guye Peak!" — Jeb • Sep 4, 2011
