"Drove from Wodonga to Shelley and then made my way around to the car park at Black Mountain, clearing a couple of trees along the way. Walked to the summit to set up the radio gear to activate VK3/VE-093, making 46 contacts. Packed up and returned to the car. Drove around to Mount Mitta Mitta to park in the saddle. "A day trip out from Wodonga. Drove out towards Corryong and then up to the small parking area below Black Mountain. Walked up to the summit and set up the radio gear to activate VK3/VE-093, making 16 contacts. Packed up and retraced my inwards route to the Murray Valley Highway and drove around to Mount Mitta Mitta. Walked up to the trig area and returned to the car to set up nearby to activate VK3/VE-138, making 11 contacts. "A day trip from Walwa. Made my way towards Shelley and then east towards Corryong until Jeffcott and Jewells Road to access Burrowa-Pine mountain National Park. Drove up Black Mountain Track to park in the saddle below the summit. Walked up the 4WD track to the summit. Again used the summit marker to support the antenna support pole. Set up the station and activated VK3/VE-093 with 36 contacts made. Once I had no more callers, I packed up and headed back to the car, and drove back to Walwa." — peterfreeman • Dec 28, 2013
"A day trip out from Walwa. Drove around to access Burrowa Pine Mountain National Park via Jeffcott and Jewells Road, then up Black Mountain Track to park. A short walk up the track to reach the summit marker, which provided a convenient support for the antenna mast. Activated the summit VK3/VE-093, making 17 contacts over about 50 minutes.
