"By the standard, but long, route up Gleann na Sguaib from the car park at Inverlael. A good path runs all the way up the glen, and through the shelved corries up to the bealach, dotted with many lochans. From there a fainter path, a bit scrambly in places, took us up the north-east ridge to the bald stony summit dome.
A golden eagle rose up as we approached the summit, and we watched it flying south till it receded out of sight.
Returned by our outward route. With DB and RP to the summit, with BC turning back at the second corrie due to the heat.
A very hot day indeed - more like the ranges of Southern Europe in high summer than the Scottish Highlands! I came suitably clothed and equipped for the heat. A great day, though." — marktrengove2 • May 26, 2017
"With Geraldine Guest, Robin Howie. We left Glenbeg Bothies, going via Loch Prille to Cona’ Mheall, Beinn Dearg, and Meall nan Ceapraichean. By mistake omitted the new top position of Ceann Garbh, but included old position*. Went on to Eididh nan Clach Geala. The return to the bothy was via Allt Uisg’ a’ Bhrisdidh. The weather was warm and clear. There were superb views in all directions, including Ben Hope. *Subsequently found to have the name Ceann Garbh Meall nan Ceapraichean." — peter43 • Jun 22, 1986
