Starting out at the small car park just north of Top Tor with the intention of making my way to the Buckland Beacon via the Rippon Rifle Range I was initially met with near static mist and drizzle with little to no wind and visibility down below 50m. Still, over the course of the 14.2km route i took in several tors and rocks as well as the disused rifle range and the Ten Commandments Stones at Buckland Beacon as the sun broke through, before the return journey back to the car via Blackslade ford and the various tors in close proximity on Blackslade Down.
