For a epic day hike this had it all! Long cross country stretches, endless mosquitos, endless water crossings... the list goes on.
Was surprised by the state of Sweetwater Gap trail. Major blowdowns that force you into dense timber. Endless small and large water crossings. I went over Nystrom because it was an extra peak and I thought (maybe incorrectly) that it was shorter. Honestly having seen the terrain I might suggest seeing if Little Sandy Trail allows sneaking over to Coon Lake (I think it does). I can't imagine doing Sweetwater both ways.
