I spent the night in Omeo. Headed out through Benambra and north towards Corryong, turning on to Eustace Gap Track and then King Spur Track. The latter was a little rough in places with regrowth and large spoon drains. Managed to drive to just below Toke Gibbo VK3/VG-028. Walked to the summit and set up the radio gear, where I made 23 contacts. I packed up and returned to the car, then retraced my access route. on the way, I stopped and climbed the short distance from the track to the top of Wheeler Gibbo. Resuming the route north, I continued to an unnamed track heading SE which took me out almost to Peak 1406 m, VK3/VE-053. I climbed to the summit and set up the gear, making 11 contacts on this first radio activation of the SOTA summit. I packed up and retraced my route back to the start of Eustace Gap Track, then headed north and took Wild Boar Track out to Mt Sassafras. I walked up to the summit and again set up, this time making 5 contacts before packing up and heading back to Omeo and then up to Mount Hotham for the night.
