Decided the night before to head to the Crowsnest. Weather was okay. We had some usual southern AB winds and a little precip here and there, but nothing terrible. I spent a part of the day wondering whether to put on my outer layer of pants because of the wind up high, but never actually froze with just one layer. We didn't want to bring snowshoes and it's not truly worth it. We did some postholing but avoided a lot of snow too. Wedge Mountain is not hard and it's fun to just walk along the spine of the ridge. A big rugged at the beginning with some steeper terrain, then just ridgewalking. It's a bit scrambly. Interesting touch with the big cross on top - maybe we should have done this on Easter weekend...? All in all another good day in the mountains and a scenic drive.
