I went out after work & hiked out through Gypsum Wash, exploring a bunch of the side washes. It’s a pretty wash! I worked ymy way back over a hill labeled 1486ft, dropped into another wash & climbed Vega from a ridge to the north. This area is a lava flow, so has lots of rock hopping. I had seen the mysterious Vega label on the map & wanted to see what it was. There were a bunch of collapsed cairns & boards & wires up top, but no official marker. There was a carved rock welcoming me to Vega!
