Set out gunning for Las Trampas Peak (in the Bay Area Classic Peak Challenge) but after a few wrong turns I'd added on too much mileage and ran out of time. Vail Peak just happened to be at my turnaround... the summit lying up a short spur off the Las Trampas Ridge Trail. A huge wilderness area with great singletrack running trails... the Ridge Trail is a highlight with constant views. Will definitely return.
