We enjoyed a great birthday hike with friends. We dropped a car at Rooster Comb and started at the Garden around 9 am heading up to UWJ then LWJ and out RC. This was our first time enjoying the RC trail and also our first hiking to UWJ/LWJ via the Garden instead of AMC. The climb to UWJ is fun with a lot of climbing, the col in between the two and back up LWJ was steeper than we remembered (probably due to hiking 13 miles the day before!) and the RC trail out seemed to go on with many switchbacks but was an enjoyable, easy and open trail. We tracked 12.6 miles and arrived back at the RC lot at 5:15 after spending 30 minutes on each summit.
