I parked southwest of this butte. Several horses walked along with me. When I got to the snow filled creek at the foot of the butte, the horses gave up. This is quite a steep climb. It was also quite muddy. This was my sixth summit of the day. My dad used to hunt in this area perhaps 55 years ago.
