Energetic and enjoyable morning hike from the trailhead parking lot on the northwest corner of the mountain. We took Turtleback Trail to and from the summit and enjoyed the amazing views of the Organ Mountains the east and the City of Las Cruces to the west. Somewhat breezy and very sunny trip. No problems with scree in either direction.
