We started at a point near the face of the mountain on the other side of Long Valley Creek. We parked our truck off the road and took some snacks and drinks then started toward the mountain. There is no trail head or trail at all. We scouted a route we thought would take us to the top. The hike up took 3 1/2 hours to reach the peak and touch the west Chimney.
