What a day! There was an 80% chance of rain, but I still wanted to get out. I asked Paula if she was interested in hiking in the rain & she agreed (on her birthday!). Her and Harlan met me at the trailhead at 8am and we set off for Iron Cross Peak (The King). I was slow moving up the hill, due to a problem with my calf, but eventually topped out. The winds were horrendous, so we kept moving, hitting The Queen, The Jack, Quo Vadis, then finally White Gold #7. We split up (accidentally) for the return trip, but everyone made it back safe. There wasn't too much rain, but the wind was seriously unbearable. Today was full of internal struggle, but we pushed on!
