Sierra Challenge Day 7 - The Citadel
LFG!!!!!

The Citadel was the hardest peak on this year's challenge. Of the seven participants who attempted The Citadel today, six made the summit; Dylan Doblar, Sean Reedy, Chris Henry, JD Morris, Tom Grundy and Sean Casserly. Chris Henry got an aqua challenge point in style by wrapping his backpack in a plastic bag and swimming across Ladder Lake. JD Morris and Tom Grundy are still out climbing bonus peaks, most likely Panorama Point and Mt Goode. The battle for the Polka Dot Jersey is heating up! Other participants climbed easier alternate peaks such as Giraud Peak and Cloudripper.

On a personal note, this was my most difficult day hike yet; both from a mileage and gain standpoint.
