Parked by a quarry off the B 6259 at NY 78861 05991. Headed east up to a wall, following an ATV track SE. Left it at its highest point to climb steeply up to the summit cairn on Tailbridge Hill. Then followed track to the road, taking it NW to the car. Continued NE over a broken wall on RoW NE, leaving it to climb to the unmarked top of Birkett Hill. Returned by outward route. Solo.
Bright and sunny for most of the hike, but clouding later. Strong cold SW wind.
