Sunset was the second peak we bagged that day. [First tagged Lookout Mountain 6,812', 4.54 mi., 2,900' g.] With a 5:30 pm start we hiked briskly up the fire road until we hit the use-trail up the ridge and to the summit. (Summited at 8:15) About 15-20 minutes later we were treated with an amazing sunset atop Sunset Peak. A mere minute or so after sun down, we watched the full moon rise over Ontario Peak. Amazing! Beautiful! Damn, we were spoiled!
