Spent a couple of days at the Elk Lake Lodge with the goals to do Sunrise and Boreas Mountains. Couldn't ask for better weather, cool, sunny and dry! Adventured out to do Sunrise on 10/9, the trail is easy to moderate, well marked and maintained with great views at two lookouts facing north and a wider view at the summit. We then did Boreas Mountain on 10/10, found the trail to be a wide easy to follow road for more then 1/2 the way then it turns into a wide trail all the way to where the fire-tower cabin use to be. The last mile you gain about 1000', steep but easy to manage and follow. Views at the summit are North and South/East.
