A short, steep, no trail hike. Good forest road all the way to the mountain. To get there: from Magdalena take NM-107 south to a signed FR-234. The road had been recently graded and was good shape and is marked with 234 signs along the way. The road ends at a locked gate where you will find a small parking area. Follow the fence line west. You will lose some elevation as you drop down into an arroyo.
