Immediately prior to joining a Mountain Ventures climbing course. Solo. I left Zermatt at 08:00 and walked through Zermatt to Findelbach station of the Gornergrat railway. I walked along a path through woods to the south of Findelbach. There were good views of the Matterhorn and Unter Gabelhorn. The Matterhorn had small amounts of cloud on the upper slopes. I crossed Findelbach to Ze Gasse and Findeln. I walked up to Sunnegga station of the cable car, up a path passing to the south of Blauherd cable car station and then to Stellissee and Flue Alp. I walked along a path a little to the north of the lateral moraine of the Findelgletscher. I saw some marmots. There were good views to Monte Rosa. I followed the path to point 3155m Pfulwe (a col). It snowed slightly. I climbed Spitzi Flue 3260m along crest of ridge and then slightly to the right. The grade is about V. Diff. Continued along Schwarzgrat to Oberrothorn and down to Zermatt, arriving there at 20:00.
